Pricing is based on how many people will actually use Quilva — not your total school roll.

Good to know: even a large school can choose a smaller package if only some students or one department will use Quilva — this is a licence for users, not the whole school by default. Pick whatever matches how many people will actually be logging in.

Support — who to contact?

We'll only ever contact these people about Quilva support and account access — no spam, no sales lists. You can nominate up to two extra people who can also raise or receive support emails.

Support is provided by email (and phone where useful), Monday–Friday during UK business hours. We aim to respond within one working day.

How payment works

No card details today. This is an invoiced agreement, not a direct debit.

  • You'll receive an invoice from Quilva after you sign, covering your chosen package.
  • Invoices are payable within 30 days unless we've agreed otherwise with you in writing.
  • Monthly payment is a 12-month commitment — it's a way of spreading the cost of one annual licence, not a rolling subscription you can cancel month to month.
  • The agreement runs for 12 months from your start date, and can be renewed each year by agreement.
  • Once your invoice is settled, we'll issue your licence key and get you set up.
Please note: if an invoice becomes significantly overdue and isn't resolved after we've been in touch, we may need to suspend access to Quilva until payment is brought up to date. We'll always try to reach you first.

Data & responsibilities, in brief

The full detail is in the contract and our Data Processing Agreement — here's the short version.

  • You keep ownership of your students' work. Quilva keeps ownership of the software itself.
  • Quilva runs locally on school and student devices — student writing isn't stored on our servers.
  • You're responsible for telling students and staff how Quilva is used, and for your own acceptable-use policies.
  • We comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and our Data Processing Agreement forms part of this contract where personal data is involved.
  • Quilva provides evidence of the writing process, not a guarantee that AI wasn't used — it's designed to support your existing judgement and academic-integrity procedures, not replace them.
